Volio terms for venues

Last updated

These terms are between Volio, Greece ("Volio", "we") and the business that signs up for a Volio plan ("you"). Volio is sold to businesses for their venues, not to consumers. Questions: hello@usevolio.com.

Plans and prices

Volio has three plans, Basic, Essential, and Pro, each priced per venue. Each venue pays the price list of the country it's in, as shown on the pricing page and again before you pay. Prices don't include taxes; where a tax applies, it's added and shown before you pay. The QR menu on its own is free and stays free.

You pay monthly or yearly. Yearly costs 10 months' price for 12 months. You choose how you pay before you give your card; we never choose it for you.

The free trial

  • Every new venue gets 30 days of the Pro plan, free. One trial per venue.
  • A card is needed to start. Nothing is charged during the trial.
  • 7 days before the trial ends, we email you the plan, the amount and the date of the first payment, and how to cancel.
  • When the trial ends, your venue moves to the plan you chose and we charge your card the price you saw: monthly or yearly.
  • Cancel before the trial ends and you pay nothing. Your menu stays online for free; ordering and payments stop.

Automatic renewal

Your plan renews automatically until you cancel it: monthly plans every month, yearly plans every year, on the day your first payment was taken, and we charge the card on file each time. Before a yearly plan renews, we email you at least 30 days ahead with the date and the amount.

If we change a price, we tell you by email at least 30 days before; the new price applies from your next renewal, never in the middle of a period you've paid for. Founding venues (the first 500) keep the price they started on for 24 months from their first payment, monthly or yearly.

Changing your plan

  • A bigger plan starts at once; you pay the difference for the rest of the current period.
  • A smaller plan starts at your next renewal.
  • Monthly to yearly: any time; the year starts that day and the unused part of the month is credited.
  • Yearly to monthly: at the end of the paid year.

Cancelling

You can cancel any time in Settings, under Plan, or by writing to hello@usevolio.com. Cancelling is as easy as signing up and costs nothing. Your plan runs to the end of the period you've paid for and doesn't renew. Refunds: see Refunds.

If a payment fails

We email you and try the card again over the following days. If it still fails, ordering and payments pause until the plan is paid; your menu stays online and nothing is deleted.

Payments from your guests

Guests' payments go straight to your own account with the payment provider, then to your bank; that provider's own terms and card fees apply. When a guest pays a bill by phone, Volio takes a small fee, shown to the guest before they pay, or you can choose to cover it. Volio takes nothing when a guest pays cash or pays the waiter.

Your data

Your menu, orders, guests and reports are yours. We use them to run Volio for you and as our privacy notice says. You can export them, and when you leave we delete them on request.

Fair use and availability

Use Volio lawfully, and for your own venues. We work to keep Volio running at all times, but we can't promise it will never be interrupted. To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to what you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes to these terms

We email you at least 30 days before a change to these terms takes effect. If you don't agree, you can cancel before then.

Law

These terms are governed by Greek law. The courts of Greece have jurisdiction, unless the law of your country gives you a right to go to your own courts.
