Gift cards sold from your page and spent at the table

See how it works

Volio's gift cards are sold on your venue's own page, for restaurants, bars, cafés and beach clubs. A guest picks an amount and who it's for, and the card is emailed now or on a day they choose. The friend who gets it spends it at your table.

How gift cards work

A gift card is bought like anything else on your page, and spent like money at the table. You don't print or post anything.

Step 1

Choose what you sell

The amounts on offer, and whether a buyer can type their own amount between two limits. The shop sits on your venue's page.

The demo venue's gift card shop: amounts of €10, €20, €50, €75 and €100, any amount from €10 to €300, and a QR code for the shop

Step 2

A guest buys one for a friend

They pick an amount and write who it's for. The card is emailed to the friend now, or on the day the buyer chooses.

Step 3

The friend spends it at the table

The card is spent at your venue, on the bill. The friend keeps it with their email, beside any points they earn with you.

24 December, 08:00, and nobody bought a present yet

Gift cards sell when people are short of ideas and short of time. Here is one of them, from the buyer's sofa to your table.

  1. 3 December

    Bought for later

A guest buys a card for their sister and picks the 24th for it to arrive.

  2. 24 December

    It arrives on the day

The card lands in the sister's email that morning. Nothing went in the post.

  3. 9 January

    Spent at your table

The sister books a table for two and spends the card at dinner.

  4. February

    She's on your list

She booked and ordered, so she's on your guest list now.

What gift cards on Volio aren't

  • Not plastic

There's no card to print, stock or post. It lives in the guest's email.

  • Not a marketplace voucher

It's sold on your page and spent at your venue, by guests who came to you.
