GloriaFood alternatives before 30 April 2027
GloriaFood reaches end of life on 30 April 2027. What to save now, and which replacement fits delivery, pickup or orders from the table.

GloriaFood’s own site says the service “will reach end of life on April 30, 2027”, and that Oracle, which owns it, “does not offer a direct replacement”. Choose the next system by what you used GloriaFood for: delivery points to one group of products, takeaway orders by your own link and orders from the table to a wider one. None of them is free in the way GloriaFood was.
This page is published by Volio, which is one row in the table below. Volio is new (it launched in October 2026), takes takeaway orders for pickup and does no delivery, so for many GloriaFood restaurants another row is the better answer.
What is ending and when
The notice sits at the top of gloriafood.com. It opens: “GloriaFood will reach end of life on April 30, 2027. We remain committed to supporting existing customers through this date.”
Then it names one company: “While Oracle does not offer a direct replacement for GloriaFood products and services, we would like to make you aware of FoodAmigos, a restaurant technology provider that offers online ordering and related solutions.” The link under it goes to a FoodAmigos page titled “GloriaFood Migration for Resellers & Partners”.
The notice does not say what happens after the date to your menu, your order history or the QR codes on your tables. Plan as if all three stop on 30 April 2027.
What to save before the date
- The menu. Every item, price, option and photo, in a spreadsheet you own.
- The customer list. Check what your own privacy terms let you keep and move before you copy it anywhere.
- Orders and reports. A year of them shows what sells and at which hours.
- Every place the old link lives. The order button on your website, your Facebook page, your Google profile, the Instagram bio, the QR codes on the tables, the flyer in the takeaway bag. Write the list now and change each one on switch day.
- Bookings. If guests reserve through the GloriaFood widget, note every booking made for a day after the date.
Pick by what you used it for
GloriaFood’s free plan covered a lot: ordering from your website and Facebook page, scheduled orders, delivery in zones you draw yourself, a QR code menu for dine-in ordering and a table reservations widget, with “Unlimited orders” and “No commission per order” (its pricing page). Find your main use in the table.
Each line comes from that company’s own site, as of October 2026. “Not published” means the pages listed under Sources do not say. It does not mean no.

If delivery paid the bills. Volio does no delivery, so look at the first five. FoodAmigos is the one Oracle names. Its home page says a restaurant can use its delivery service, its own team or both. Its pricing page offers “full access to the entire FoodAmigos platform for a fixed price” and shows no figure, so ask for the number on a demo call. Flipdish also brings Just Eat and Uber Eats orders into one system. Its published Irish terms run for 12 months and renew for 12 more unless you give written notice at least 3 months before the end. Its prices are set out in Flipdish alternatives. Storekit prices in pounds, and its free Starter plan includes pickup and delivery.
If it was pickup from your own website. All seven take an order online. Square’s free plan has “no monthly subscription costs”, and Square takes card payments in eight countries, so check yours is on the list. Volio’s is one link for pickup.
If guests ordered from the table. MENU TIGER and Volio do it. Square includes QR code ordering on Plus ($49 a month per location) and Premium, not on Square Free. Storekit includes it from Pro, and Flipdish lists it without a published price. More products of this kind are in QR code ordering systems, compared.
What the others have and Volio lacks:
- Five of them do delivery. Volio does none.
- Square, Storekit and MENU TIGER take online orders on a free plan. Volio has no free plan; a venue that cancels keeps its menu online, free.
- FoodAmigos, Flipdish and Owner.com offer the restaurant its own branded mobile app.
- Flipdish and Square sell their own hardware.
- All six are live products. FoodAmigos says “More than 4,000 restaurants” use it. Volio is new: it launched in October 2026.
Nothing replaces free: the real costs
A GloriaFood restaurant that took card payments online was already paying: that service is US$29 a month on top of the free plan.
Ask every vendor for three numbers: the monthly fee, the fee per order and who pays it, and the card rate. The published pages leave gaps.
- Storekit’s Starter has no monthly fee but adds “a flat per-order rate”. The amount is not on its pricing page. Pro lists a setup fee from £199 per location.
- Owner.com’s Flexible plan adds a 5% restaurant fee per order and Flat Rate drops it. On both, guests pay a 5% order support fee.
- Flipdish “handles all debit and credit card processing” and gives no rate on its pricing page.
- Square’s US card rate for payments “made online or through an invoice” is 3.3% + 30¢ on Free and 2.9% + 30¢ on Plus and Premium.
- MENU TIGER’s free plan stops at 10 tables, 200 QR orders and 250 online orders a month.
- Volio starts every plan with 30 days of Pro, free, and a venue that cancels keeps its QR menu online, free. Volio takes a small fee on a bill paid by phone. Guests see it before they pay, or you switch to covering it. Nothing when a guest pays cash or the waiter.
Put one normal month of your own orders through each. The post on what a QR ordering system costs walks through that sum.
Moving the menu and the QR codes
Ask who types the menu in. Owner.com says “We handle your entire switch.” Storekit lists a spreadsheet menu import on every plan. Volio sets the menu up for the venue, free. FoodAmigos advertises “free migration support” on the page Oracle’s notice links to, but that page is addressed to resellers and partners, so a single restaurant should ask FoodAmigos directly what it would get.
A printed QR code opens one fixed address. If that address is GloriaFood’s, the code has to be reprinted: every table, the window sticker, the flyers. Read the guide to QR codes for restaurant tables before you print.
Switch on a slow Tuesday, weeks before 30 April 2027. Change every link on your list the same morning, and put a card with the new link in each takeaway bag for a month.
Where Volio fits and where it does not
Volio does no delivery. Taking orders and payments needs a paid plan. And Volio is new: it launched in October 2026.
The fit is a venue that used GloriaFood for pickup and for orders in the room. Volio gives it one link for Instagram and Google where guests order and pay ahead, choose a pickup time and collect by order number. The same menu sits behind a QR code on each table, where guests order and pay at the table. Bookings from the venue’s page are on the Essential plan. What a guest sees is on the home page.
Payments go to your own account with the payment provider, then to your bank. The first 30 days are on the Pro plan, free; a card is needed to start, and you can cancel any time before the first payment.
